Surgeries

At Dr. Suryanarayanan's Dental clinic, we follow gold standards of hygiene and sterilization before and after each surgery and ensure you have a stress-free experience.

Wisdom tooth extraction

Wisdom teeth, also called as third molars, can often cause problems during their eruption.

  • They may erupt only partially as there is less space in the jaw.
  • They may be embedded completely in the jaw.
  • They exert pressure on adjoining teeth, causing pain and hence must be extracted.
  • Also, they are difficult to clean as they are the last teeth in the mouth and the toothbrush sometimes does not reach there.

Wisdom teeth, especially the lower ones often require surgical removal. We prefer trimming as minimal of the bone as possible and use piezosurgery(link) to provide atraumatic bone removal and a much more comfortable post operative healing period with less pain and swelling.

Cyst, Ranula and Mucocele surgeries

Usually, Cysts Begin to form at the tip of the roots of a dead or dying tooth.

They either show symptoms of pain and swelling or are accidentally identified during other dental treatment. They can damage and resorb the surrounding bone.

Surgically it has to be removed to avoid future risk factors and complications.

At our clinic we use a laser to perform these surgeries with minor to no bleeding and minimal post operative symptoms with accelerated healing.

Operculectomy

Partially erupted teeth, mostly wisdom teeth may sometimes cause a different type of issue requiring surgical removal of just the gum covering the tooth.

When this gum tissue gets infected, it is surgically removed to prevent further damage.

At our clinic, this type of surgery is quickly and easily performed using our diode laser in a painless, bloodless manner without the need of any stitches.
